What is Revanesse Cosmetic Filler and How Does it Differ from Juvederm?

Everyone has something about their face that they wish was just a little bit different.

Maybe they wish their lips were just a little plumper so they look more like their favourite celebrity?

Perhaps they’d like to do something about the area under their eyes so that they don’t look as tired when they walk in to lead their team during the next 9 a.m. meeting?

Or maybe they just want the flattery that comes with being asked for I.D. the next time they pick up a bottle of wine while they are on their way home from work?

All that can be achieved without surgery by visiting Altura Aesthetics and speaking to them about a Canadian cosmetic filler product known as Revanesse.

Revanesse is made up of Hyaluronic Acid, (HA) – an ingredient which is found naturally in your body as a carbohydrate.

Revanesse uses unique technology – Thixofix cross-linking technology – to create a cosmetic filler, which can be injected easier, feels more natural, is easier to shape and won’t break down as quickly or dramatically as other cosmetic fillers.

With a Revanesse product, you don’t have to worry about waking up with a dramatically different face because the cosmetic filler seemingly broke down overnight.

“At Altura Aesthetics, we believe Revanesse products are at the forefront of the cosmetic filler industry and our staff have several years’ experience using Revanesse products,” says Dr. Altaf Khumree. “We believe Revanesse delivers the best results for our customers, giving them impressive, lasting results that won’t disappear overnight like other cosmetic fillers.”

How it Differs – Revanesse vs Juvederm

Studies have shown that once injected, Revanesse does not break down as quickly as Juvederm. Generally speaking, Revanesse is also more easily molded and more natural feeling than other cosmetic fillers.

Microscope photo shows that because of Revanesse’s unique “milling” process, HA particles tend to stay closer together, be rounder and more consistent in size. This leads to a more durable, consistent and easily molded product than other cosmetic fillers. (Credit – Revanesse)

Safety & Testing of Revanesse

The Revanesse line of cosmetic fillers have been proven to be safe and effective.

Their line of fillers is free of animal products, which reduces the risk of an allergic reaction. While it is still a very slight possibility for a person to have an allergic reaction, staff at Altura are highly trained to deal with such an event should it occur.

Revanesse products are biocompatible and biodegradable breaking down naturally in the body and they are produced in a state of the art manufacturing facility in Canada. Every aspect of the manufacturing process is controlled with extensive tests performed on all the raw materials used to produce Revanesse.

Strict in-process controls are continuously used during the manufacturing process and each batch is meticulously tested in-house against the strictest of standards. As a final test, each and every syringe is visually inspected ensuring that it is safe, biocompatible and effective. The safety of the Revanesse family of fillers is of high importance. The following tests are conducted on all Revanesse products:

  • Muscle implantation
  • Acute systemic injection
  • Biocompatibility and toxicity
  • Cytotoxicity
  • Guinea pig maximization sensitization
  • Identification: pH, osmolality, residual BDDE, sterility
  • Intracutaneous reactivity
